Corn Chowder is a family favorite recipe given to my Mother by Matt & Cynthia Symonoff who were the best man and matron of honor at my parent's wedding. My brother's wife, Penny, still makes it for him often. This recipe is my version of this hearty chowder.

Start with 1- 1 lb. package of Bob Evans Breakfast Sausage. Brown and crumble the sausage browning it with Medium onion, diced, and 3 stalks of celery, finely chopped. Cook til vegetables are tender. 3-5 minutes.
In the soup pot add the sausage, celery, and onions to it, add 2 oz. of butter.
4c Half n Half
1 can of creamed corn
1 can of whole corn kernels
2 cans of sliced potatoes
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground pepper
2 Tbsp chopped parsley
1/2 tsp thyme

Simmer on the stove for 20 minutes on medium-low heat until piping hot and ready for a cup or bowl.
Serve with a loaf of Pumpernickel Bread and savor the flavors.
